New Demo Reel February 2015!

What's going on readers?! The holiday break went by pretty quickly, but of course the work doesn't stop there! I am back to bring you my newly updated Demo Reel to start off 2015!

Unfortunately, due to project secrecy and abiding by company NDAs, I am unable to bring you footage that I've worked on from the project at FAKE Digital Entertainment. I have been working on my own personal projects while away, and I will be implementing all that I've learned to show you just how much I've improved on the Animation Scale.

Check it out guys!

Unlike previous annual reel entries however, I am VERY likely to update this again sometime soon with newer works, and by this year (heck probabaly even before this summer). Keep the eyes peeled, and I hope you've noticed my vast improvement!

So yeah, hire me already! :D

Later days!

Away at FAKE Digital Entertainment

Pardon once again for my long absence, I had been hard at work on a new 3D Animated TV series at FAKE-Studio for the past several months. Unfortunately, the project is still under major production, and I can't reveal any more information regarding what it's about or even any images or footage. For the time being however, I am no longer on the production team, and I may not be able to update my new works from this project into my Demo Reel until sometime in 2015.

FEAR NOT!! For now I have the time this holiday to work on more side projects! Thanks to the amazing staff at FAKE, I am now 10x more efficient with SoftImage XSI, AWW YEAH!! I will continue to work in the preferred Maya software however, and with my newly acquired skills from the FAKE project, I can apply better animation to new acting sequences, as well as update my older works to fit better into my Demo Reel.
Til' we meet again next time!

2014 Demo Reel (Includes Televised work)

Check out my new updated Demo Reel for early 2014, featuring Animation and Compositing work from kids television show "Annie Brocoli chez Les Minitomes"

From July 2013 to recently, I had been hard at work doing compositing and animation for a young toddlers televised series featuring Annie Brocoli. My new demo reflects on some of my better works I've done the last while, including the Goon Parkour and some good acting shots from my 3D film "Old Reliable".. I will continue to work on other side projects while making my way up in the industry. I hope you enjoy this compilation, and may we perhaps do business together in the near future :).

NEW Demo Reel!

Check out my new updated Demo Reel for early 2013, featuring a Goon parkour sequence and some nice shots from my short film!

The lack of updates have been due to working as a VFX Compositor for kids shows as of September. I have not dropped by passion for 3D, nor will I ever. I have every intention of continuing to improve my skills, and will keep you posted with ideas for any new upcoming projects within my personal pipeline.

Enjoy! And hire me ;)

Demo Reel 2012

Check out my 2012 3D Animation Demo Reel.

All of the individual works can be seen throughout my blog. You can also view by 3D Animated short film "Old Reliable" in the post below, or simple click here.

So concludes the archives leading up to my first 3D Animated short film, as well as my first Demo Reel. Be sure to leave feedback!

OLD RELIABLE

My final 3D Animated Short Film "Old Reliable", produced within the 3rd and final year of the 3D Animation & CGI program at Dawson College in Montreal, Canada.

Old Reliable tells the story of a Cowboy and his Horse, who are lost and wandering through the scorching hot desert of the wild west. They have no food, almost no water, and to top things off, the two characters don't "share" well. Watch and see what happens!

Much blood, sweat and tears was put into the production of this film. Nearly 1 year of production, built from the ground up of 2d sketches and concepts to the full fledged thing you see above. I hope you enjoy it!

Leave your comments below if you have any questions or critiques. Would love to hear from you guys!

Welcome to the wild west

What's a cowboy without his horse right?  I made the challenge to animate a quadruped, not only as a test to my skills, but to gain the experience.  I'll tell you it was NOT easy, but the final result was definitely worth gazing at after much hard work.

NOTE: The horse was modeled by Tim Mayo and rigged by Christopher Carson, credit to noxlabs.com

Quadrupeds are a challenge to animate. With many different body mechanics to pay attention to, you'll be better off studying the anatomy of the animal first and watching LOTS of reference before you start animating one. I animated this cycle to show the horse as if it was fatigued and thirsty from a scorching hot desert.

Speaking of desert...

Yeah I wouldn't want to be stuck there either. This is the desert I modeled for my short film. Due to time restrictions I opted to keep it really simple, but the scale is quite large nonetheless. I really wanted to make it feel as though the Cowboy was lost and hopeless in a massive desert.

Waited long enough?  Time to check out my short film!
